Alpha Motors - new motorisation player hits market
“I saw a niche in the market for cost effective automated product,” said managing director David Fezer. “We have a full range of motors at a cost advantage to the end consumer with a longer seven-year warranty, more features and a stylish remote system.”
The firm tested more than 3000 motors with three NSW companies before entering into a sole agency agreement with the China-based Hangzhou Wistar Mechanical & Electric Technology Company which supplies motors to a worldwide market.
The selection has been sold in Australia for the past six months with Fezer claiming that several of the leading domestic blind companies have expressed interest in the range. “It’s amazing, some of the biggest companies in Australia are testing our motors,” he said.
Fezer started Alpha Motors, which is based on the Central Coast in NSW, after amassing more than 10 years’ experience in the window furnishings sector. He operated Rolletna Window Furnishings and Rollasmart until they were sold four years ago. “My experience has been selling high end, high quality product,” he said. “These are cost effective motors that are reliable and we offer professional backup support and we carry stock.”
Other advantages he highlighted included being able to parallel wire the motors or incorporate wind and light sensors. Some 12 employees work at Alpha Motors and its sister company Blind Motion which has been operating for the past 18 months.
