Hunter Douglas set to launch new diffusion range

The HD1953 collection, named after the year in which Hunter Douglas launched in Australia, includes Zen, Attica, Quay and Optimascreen Fabrics which are all available in wide widths.

“Blockout fabrics are the top sellers in the Australian market, because as much as Australians love the outdoors, it is essential that we block out the harsh sun from bedrooms, as well as living areas to protect furniture and floors from fading. Therefore, Zen, Attica and Quay Fabrics are 100 per cent blockout,” says Hunter Douglas Components marketing manager Amelia Clements.

Zen Fabric has a muted, minimalist colour palette designed to suit all interiors and is available with matching back and front in 12 colours. Attica Fabric has a vertical texture described as “demure and on-trend” available in 10 colours and with a white foam backing. Quay Fabric has a beautiful tonal satin foam finish and is available in 12 colours. Each of the fabrics provides an affordable and practical solution for Roller Blind and Vertical Blind applications with widths of 89, 127, 2400 and 2800mm available.

Meanwhile, Optimascreen is an environmentally-friendly, 100 per cent polyester, Sunscreen Fabric that has passed Oekotex Standard 100, which means it is free from heavy metal hazardous substances, making it a safe choice for family homes. The modern basket and twill weave creates a consistent design throughout the fabric which is available in nine colours in 2500 and 3000mm widths.

As an added feature, Optimascreen Sunscreen Fabric has a long lasting antibiotic effect to protect against bacteria, mould and mildew. As a Sunscreen Fabric, Optimascreen features excellent thermal control properties by controlling the level of heat, glare and UV that can enter the home.

“HD1953 Fabric Collection offers an excellent design aesthetic, hanging performance and colour choice, all at an affordable price. This range perfectly complements our premium fabric collections which include Baltic, Carnaby, Elements, Seychelles and PLAZA® Plus Fabrics. While our premium fabric collections offer superior functionality such as Sanitized Antimicrobial Protection and Duraguard Fabric Protector, our new diffusion range is a more affordable range of fabrics for entry-level buyers who don’t require all the features available – put simply, we have a fabric for every job,” Clements says.
