Luxaflex - Duette Architella a force against rising energy costs

Research reveals that up to 30 per cent (1) of the average electricity bill can be attributed to heating or cooling the home, with the average electricity bill already $2230 (2) per year, before double-digit price rises in most states since 1 July.

“Luxaflex Duette Architella Shades can reduce average heating costs by 43 per cent (3) - this is an important piece of news that translates into real savings for our customers. Our Luxaflex Window Fashions Galleries often comment that this statistic is a powerful sales tool, particularly because we are the only brand nationally who can claim these savings with this exclusive product,” comments Jenny Brown, national marketing manager, Australian Window Furnishings.

Luxaflex Duette Architella Shades revolutionary cell-within-a-cell construction forms three distinct air pockets, trapping the air and acting as an insulation barrier for the window. Exclusive to Luxaflex Window Fashions, the shades offer superior insulation properties compared to other cellular products and traditional blinds.

“If you would like to help consumers see the benefits of insulating their window with quality and innovative products, enquire today about becoming a Luxaflex Window Fashions Gallery – there are territories still available in key areas nationally,” says Brown.

1. Based on research conducted by Sustainable – a Clean Energy Council Member - www.sunstainable.com.au/solar-tips/

2. Based on iPart’s average household electricity price in NSW in 2012

3. Savings are based on the installation of fully-recessed, reveal-mounted DUETTE® Architella Opaque Shades in an average home in Sydney, compared with the House Energy Rating standard of Holland Blinds from AccuRate, in that home. These calculations have been modelled by an independent third party. Savings will vary based on window type and installation.
