A new Platinum Interface Connection enables window coverings with PowerRise Platinum Technology to be controlled by any home automation system.

“Home automation really is the ultimate result for our end customers – this new feature means integration into existing home automation systems is made easier than ever before,” says Jenny Brown, national marketing manager, Luxaflex Window Fashions.

"It is now also possible to daisy-chain three standard size window coverings so that they can be powered from a single power supply, thanks to the new daisy-chain connector. There are also four new length options (380mm, 1.2m, 3m and 6m) for the PowerRise Extension Cable which makes it easy to connect the DC power supply to the window covering even if the power outlet is not easily accessible."

“A daisy-chain and a choice of extension cable lengths means the whole motorisation system is much easier to install and also means less stress for the homeowner – allowing the installer to get in and get the job done with as little fuss as possible,” commented Brown.

"In addition, there is a new Platinum Wireless Wall Switch which offers an alternative control solution to the Platinum Remote Control, but with the same control functionality. Like the Platinum Remote, the Platinum Wall Switch is powered by two AA batteries and mounted on the wall near the window covering."
