Ultracut adds saws to Ezystop suite

The EzySaw is a quality up-cut saw complete with pneumatic clamps, safety hood and automatic operation, explains Ultracut director Garth Jacobs, adding that the company took the decision to launch the saw following the success of the Ultracut EzyStop.

“The saw can be optioned up with in-feed and out-feed rollers, blade lubrication systems and also the Ultracut EzyStop digital automatic backstop system to provide high quality accurate cuts.”

Costing approximately $6,500 the EzySaw represents value for money and enhanced efficiencies, Jacobs says.

“Contract Blinds in Bayswater and Hunter Douglas in Sydney are amongst many businesses that have been quick to realise the advantages of this technology. They report that having the ability to import all job data easily and print tracking labels at the time of cutting is key to product work flow through the factory.”

“This is a key component to all the Ultracut machines, whether it be the Vectrocut Sono, the fully automatic Ultrasonic and Pressure / Crush fabric cutting table or the Combocutter, the Single Axis fabric cutting table. Product identification via a printed label at the point of cutting saves a lot of time and effort to track the various blind components throughout the production system.”

“The high end system allows for electronic job sheets including customer information and material information to be sent to both fabric cutting machines and saw systems with a few simple clicks of the mouse.”

Jacobs says the EzySaw will round out Ultracut’s EzyStop system.

“The EzyStop system uses the latest servo motor technology to drive and position the backstop exactly, meaning the operator is able to achieve consistent cut lengths every time. This means that no longer will re-works or re-cuts be required due to misread measurements by the operator. Once set up, it will be accurate all the time to the millimetre.”

“Most of us will know how expensive and troublesome it is to find out half way through the production of a blind that the fabric is cut correct and the aluminium tube is incorrect. This then takes extra labour to re-cut the tube and correct the issue. The EzyStop eliminates this problem altogether.”

“The system is universal and can be easily mounted to any existing saw or bench. “This enables Ultracut to supply all existing customers “Jacobs says. “It is literally a four bolt installation process.”

“This is the last piece of the production machinery puzzle; we can now supply the best and most automated complete blind manufacturing systems on the market.”
